1. Who we are

Hey Bloom Learn Studio ("we", "us") operates the Hey Bloom Learn app and website (the "Service"). We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the Service.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, login credentials, profile preferences.
  • Child/family profile data: child nickname, age range, learning focus you choose to save.
  • Usage data: activities generated, favorites, weekly plans, in-app interactions, device and browser type, IP address.
  • Support data: messages you send to our support team.
  • Payment data: handled by Paddle (see Section 5). We do not store full card details.

3. How we use your data

  • Create and manage your account (contract performance).
  • Provide the activity generator, favorites, and weekly plan features (contract performance).
  • Improve the product and prevent fraud or abuse (legitimate interests).
  • Respond to support requests (legitimate interests / contract performance).
  • Send service-related emails; marketing emails only with your consent.

4. Legal basis

We rely on contract performance, our legitimate interests in running and improving the Service, your consent (where applicable), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Who we share data with

  • Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, authentication, and analytics providers that help us run the Service.
  • Paddle.com Market Limited: our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payments, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and similar advisers as needed.
  • Authorities: where required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and operational requirements. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure.

Hey Bloom Learn is designed for parents and caregivers. Accounts are intended for adults; child profile data inside the app is provided by the parent or caregiver.
